Am I prepared to get a new furry and purry baby?

These questions need to be asked to ensure a safe, loving home for each kitten.

  1. Do you live in a house, trailer or apartment?
  2. Do you own? If renting, do you have permission from your landlord?
  3. If you move, are you prepared to take this with you?
  4. Are you married or have a roommate or partner?
  5. If yes, does the spouse/roommate/partner also want this pet?
  6. Are there children in the home? Have they been around other pets?
  7. What will happen if a family member has allergies?
  8. Have you had pets previously? What happened to the pet(s)?
  9. Do you currently have other pets? If yes, then what species and breed?
  10. If yes, then are you prepared to keep the new pet apart for a few days until your vet gives you clearance as started in our contract?
  11. Are vaccinations current?
  12. What hours will someone be home? Kittens may not need as much work as puppies, but they still need attention.
  13. Will the kitten stay inside or go outside?
  14. If you go on vacation, who will care for this pet?
  15. Do you have a regular vet whose contract info you would provide?
  16. Do you agree to the terms of the contract including the spay/neuter clause?
  17. Do you have knowledge about the Persians and Siamese breed’s characteristics such as size, activity level and grooming requirements?
  18. Are you buying this kitten as a surprise gift? Noble gesture, but not a good idea. What if the recipient can’t keep it, doesn’t want it or is allergic?
